In 1996 the founders of International Satellite Services, Inc. were living on a remote island in the Northwest Caribbean. They purchased a satellite telephone for personal use in their home. The neighbors saw it and wanted one for themselves. International Satellite Services was born and the rest, as they say, is history.
From that day, when we were literally our own first customer, ISS has built its reputation on treating each and every customer as if they were our ONLY customer. We've grown from those modest origins to a multi-million dollar organization with many hundreds of customers spread throughout the world. We currently offer satellite communications solutions over all five of the major commercial satellite constellations and we are expanding and upgrading those offerings constantly.
Our customer base covers the full spectrum from some the world's largest Fortune 500 companies to our military to the vessels that service the oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Mexico to a small "mom and pop" operated fishing boat in the South Pacific, with almost everything imaginable in between. Perhaps we are most proud to still have as our customers some of those same families from that island in the Caribbean.
